Position Overview

Inova Staffing is seeking a skilled Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our client's team in Austell, GA. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating Sit-Down forklifts and safely moving steel materials throughout a manufacturing or recycling facility.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:15 AM – 3:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
• Employment Type: Full-time, temp to permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move and position steel materials.
• Load and unload trucks, containers and trailers.
• Transport products to and from designated locations within the facility.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations for heavy material handling.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory and movement documentation.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety standards.
• Heavy lifting is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a SIT-DOWN forklift, specifically handling heavy steel materials.
• Valid forklift certification/license (preferred but NOT required).
• Strong understanding of forklift safety and load-handling protocols.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
• Prior experience in steel manufacturing, recycling, or construction is a plus.

Additional Role: Recycling General Laborer (Electronics Dismantling)

In addition to forklift operations, this position includes duties related to electronics dismantling. You will assist in breaking down used electronics safely and efficiently, requiring physical strength and basic hand tool skills.
