Position Summary:
This position provides leadership and oversight for the design of all technical and operational functions of the hospital-based simulations. The role is responsible for managing simulation technologies, simulation software, equipment maintenance, operational staff, and facility resources to support high-quality educational, clinical, and research activities. This includes low to high fidelity patient simulators and Elsevier generated simulation cases using Standardized Patients and Standardized Technical Communicators. This position collaborates with faculty, administrators, and external partners to ensure effective delivery of simulation-based learning experiences while maintaining compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
Salary & Benefits:
Minimum starting salary of $70,000, commensurate with experience.
Primary Duties:
Manage day-to-day operations of the hospital simulation suite.
Supervise and delegate to the Simulation Technology Assistant Manager and Simulation Technologist and Educator.
Supervise the Standardized Technical Communicators Program, including hiring, training, tracking hours worked, and evaluation.
Manage simulation inventory system, equipment, software systems, and hospital suite rooms.
Work to continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Develop equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate equipment replacement plans.
Coordinate the simulation calendar, event setup, and execution of simulation events.
Support faculty and community partners in simulation design, programming, and implementation.
Monitor budgets and oversee procurement of simulation equipment and supplies.
Evaluate emerging simulation technologies and recommend improvements for all disciplines.
Generate operational reports and utilization of metrics.
Participate in accreditation, long-range planning and strategic initiatives.
Provides instruction for Basic Life Support courses offered through the Simulation Center.
Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.

Working Conditions:
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to move and transport simulation equipment.
Ability to work in simulation laboratories, classrooms, and clinical environments.
Occasional evening or weekend work to support special events and educational activities.
