Preferred Qualifications
The Simulation Coordinator serves as the lead resource for simulation-based education, driving the integration of high-fidelity, low-fidelity, and virtual simulation technologies to enhance student learning, clinical judgment, and workforce readiness. This position is critical to ensuring that simulation is intentionally designed, consistently implemented, and effectively utilized to demonstrate student competency, including achievement of End-of-Program Student Learning Outcomes (EPSLOs) and Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs).
The Simulation Coordinator provides leadership in faculty training, simulation implementation, competency validation, and technology integration, ensuring alignment with the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation, Ohio Board of Nursing regulations, and accreditation requirements.
This role directly supports the Nursing Department's priorities related to student success, clinical readiness, regulatory compliance, and the expanded use of simulation to supplement clinical learning experiences. This is a temporary, full-time grant-funded position within the Nursing Department with a 200-day annual contract beginning 7/1/2026 and ending 10/31/2027.

Retirement Benefits
Ohio Public Employees Retirement System
The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohios public employees and their families. OPERS is available to all staff Members. The College contributes 14% of the employees wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 10%.
State Teachers Retirement System
The State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohios public educators. STRS is available to all faculty members. The College contributes 14% of the employees wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 14% of their wages toward the retirement benefit.

Faculty and staff may elect the Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP) in lieu of one of the state plans.
Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Accounts

Do you have a minimum of a masters degree in Nursing or another directly related healthcare discipline?

Are you a Registered Nurse with a current, active, unrestricted license in the state of Ohio or are you a Registered Nurse with a Compact License?
