Our SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients, including post-operative cardiac, transplant, and complex surgical cases. What You Bring to the Table:
Proven experience with ICU patients, especially in surgical and transplant recovery
Strong knowledge of post-operative care, PA catheters, balloon pumps, and continuous renal replacement therapy
Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records
Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
Ability to adapt quickly to different ICU settings and float requirements
Willingness to work night shifts (3x12-hour shifts from 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM)
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with PA catheter management and balloon pump utilization
Familiarity with high-acuity cardiac and transplant patient care
Previous exposure to emergency or critical event response
Comfort with cross-unit float assignments to total patient care flexibility
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse licensed to practice in your state
At least 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in a surgical, transplant, or cardiovascular ICU setting
Epic electronic health record experience is required
Other Requirements:
Willingness to participate in emergency response teams when needed
