Box Truck Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)
Duration- 6 month
Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift (5:00 AM until route completion; schedule subject to business needs)
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Box Truck Delivery Driver to safely operate a non-CDL box truck and deliver products to commercial customers. This is a physically active, customer-facing role that requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck for local delivery routes.
- Load, unload, and deliver products to customer locations.
- Manually move products using hand carts and other delivery equipment.
- Verify invoices, collect signatures, and handle cash transactions when required.
- Provide professional customer service and address delivery issues appropriately.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Navigate routes efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull products weighing 1 75 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Skills
- Previous delivery driving, route delivery, warehouse, or food service distribution experience.
Tools/Environment
- Non-CDL box truck (similar to U-Haul or Ryder vehicles).
- Hand carts and manual unloading equipment.
- Fast-paced delivery environment with regular customer interaction.
