Shop Supervisor

We are currently seeking experienced candidates with strong fabrication and leadership skills for a Shop Supervisor position in Macedonia, Ohio. This is a great opportunity to lead and grow within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Join a local custom transformer manufacturer where you will oversee daily shop operations, ensure safety and quality standards, and support a motivated team. In this hands-on role, you'll lead by example and help drive the company's growth and success.

Hours:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM
Up to 60 hours per week
Monday through Saturday (possible)

Pay:
$30.00/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on supervision and leadership on the shop floor
Read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication work
Remain hands-on in fabrication, welding, and assembly
Operate equipment such as shears, drill presses, cut-off saws, and various hand tools
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures
Oversee training, discipline, and evaluation of shop employees
Build and support a positive, motivated team environment
Support owners vision for shop growth and development

Minimum Requirements:

2+ years of fabrication and supervisory experience
High school diploma or GED (technical training or degree preferred)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Knowledge and ability to run and operate supporting equipment such as shears, drill presses, cut-off saws, and various hand tools
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and performing shop math
Dependable, punctual, and open to instruction
Willingness to learn and grow within the company
Must be able to work a 50-60 hour work week, possibly including Saturdays

Nice to Have Skills:

MIG welding experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED
2+ years of fabrication and supervisory experience

Other Requirements:

On-Site work location required
Ability to work extended hours when needed
