Shop Porter - Purdy Volkswagen and Purdy Mazda of BCS

Our dealerships have an outstanding opportunity for a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Shop Porter. The Shop Porter supports the service department by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment while assisting technicians and service personnel with vehicle movement and general shop duties.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles safely throughout the dealership and service areas
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service shop, drive lanes, and surrounding areas
• Assist with vehicle staging, parking, and retrieval
• Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles as needed
• Remove trash and debris from work areas and customer areas
• Transport vehicles to and from designated locations
• Assist technicians and service advisors with routine support tasks
• Monitor and maintain shop supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed
• Keep service equipment and work areas clean and orderly
• Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous automotive, porter, or service department experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
