We are excited to announce a thrilling opportunity for a Permanent Shop Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, mechanical maintenance, and motors. As a permanent shop mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and equipment, maintaining our high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak performance.
2. Carry out preventative maintenance on diesel engines, motors, and other machinery, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems, including engine failures, transmission issues, and brake systems malfunctions.
4. Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.
5. Oversee the ordering of replacement parts and equipment.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
7. Collaborate with team members to identify and address mechanical issues, sharing expertise and knowledge to improve overall team performance.
8. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations to ensure top-notch service delivery.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic, with a focus on diesel engines, mechanical maintenance, and motors.
2. Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues in a variety of vehicles and equipment.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to mechanical work.
4. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance work.
5. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for identifying and addressing mechanical issues.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mechanical concepts in simple terms.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Commitment to staying updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations.
9. Certification or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
10. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
