Overview:
Shop Manager / Lead Stylist — Drybar Richmond
Full-Time | Leadership Role | On the Floor + Building the Business
Do you love hair and love building something that wins?
Do you get excited by coaching a team, driving performance, and seeing the score change because of your leadership?
Drybar Richmond is hiring a Shop Manager / Lead Stylist to lead, grow, and elevate our shop in one of the most dynamic college towns in the country.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a shop that’s already established — but still early enough for you to shape the culture, build the business, and make your mark.
Why This Role Is Different
Richmond is a growth market with incredible potential.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
Build a high-performing team and culture
Create momentum in a growth market
Drive real business results — not just manage shifts
Make your mark in a highly visible location
If you’ve ever wanted to run a shop like it’s your own, this is it.
What You’ll Love About This Role
You’ll still do hair (this is not a desk job)
You’ll run the shop day-to-day with real ownership
You’ll coach, inspire, and develop a team
You’ll drive results and see the score change because of your leadership
You’ll grow within a multi-unit, expanding franchise group
You’re Not Doing This Alone
This isn’t a solo act — it’s a team sport.
You’ll be backed by:
A Shop Educator (your partner in training + quality)
A Client Relations Manager (driving hospitality + sales at the front)
A District Manager + Multi-Unit Team (coaching, strategy, and support)
Translation: you get to focus on leading, coaching, and growing the business — not just surviving the day.
The Mission
As Shop Manager, you are responsible for:
Running smooth, high-energy daily operations
Driving the business forward through leadership, coaching, and execution
What You’ll Do
Lead daily operations and set the tone for the team
Coach stylists and front desk on service, sales, and productivity
Own and drive KPIs: client count, revenue, add-ons, memberships, retail, labor
Build weekly plans and execute to hit goals
Deliver Drybar services and lead from the chair
Maintain brand standards, scheduling, and shop operations
Qualifications
Active cosmetology license (required)
Leadership experience preferred (assistant manager, lead stylist, educator, etc.)
Strong communication and coaching skills
Comfortable with goals, metrics, and accountability
Positive, steady, solutions-oriented leader
Passion for both service excellence and business results
Compensation & Perks
Competitive base pay + tips
Leadership / KPI bonus opportunities
Service, membership + retail commissions
Growth path within a multi-unit organization
Paid time off
Health insurance
Who Thrives Here
Leaders who want to build — not just maintain
Coaches who develop people and drive results
Team players who hold high standards and take pride in what they lead
If you’re ready to lead, build, and create a high-performing shop in Richmond — we want to meet you.
