We are seeking a Shop Helper to assist in engine repair and maintenance under supervision in our inland tank barge fleet.
Responsibilities include performing maintenance tasks, documenting work, and maintaining the facility through general upkeep.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot.
Preferred candidates have 3-5 years of related experience or engine mechanic certification, and experience in barge or shipyard maintenance.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English, use basic computer software, and obtain a TWIC card.
Work involves exposure to environmental hazards and moderate noise, with occasional travel for errands or meetings.
The role requires a valid driver’s license and may involve working in various field environments.
