Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Hand to support daily operations in a growing automotive shop in Norman. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, has mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

This role begins as a flexible part-time opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time position for individuals who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
Required Experience & Skills
Mechanical aptitude and an interest in the automotive industry preferred
Previous sit-down forklift experience preferred
Prior automotive shop, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus
Strong work ethic with dependable attendance
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate a sit-down forklift to move vehicle parts, equipment, and materials throughout the shop and yard
Load, unload, and stage automotive parts and supplies
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe automotive shop environment
Perform general housekeeping duties, including trash removal and shop cleanup
Assist automotive technicians with shop support tasks and miscellaneous projects
Organize tools, equipment, and inventory throughout the facility
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Perform additional shop support duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an automotive shop or repair facility
Previous warehouse or material handling experience
Forklift certification or operating experience
Basic knowledge of automotive tools, equipment, and parts
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling
Ability to work safely around vehicles, equipment, and shop machinery
Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the day
Work Environment
Automotive repair and upfitting facility
Combination of indoor shop and outdoor yard work
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality
Exposure to vehicles, automotive equipment, and industrial tools
