Description


This position is responsible for refurbishing frac trailers and related components including engines in a shop environment in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. The hours for this position are from Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm.  Our address is 3007 Maverick Dr. Kilgore, TX. 75662.
Senior-level position – Generally has more than twelve years of experience, and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A Level VI Technician has a broad knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Level VI Technician performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks, is indirectly supervised, and is often a team leader on a large project. Provides a significant amount of task and behavior-oriented supervision to others. A Level VI Technician owns a large and complete assortment of appropriate hand tools and frequently has many specialized tools as well.

Essential Functions


·         Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs equipment and trailers.
·         Performs inspections, preventive maintenance of equipment and trailers, and minor component replacement as applicable.
·         Removes and installs components on frac pumping units.
·         Removes and installs hydraulic hoses.
·         Assists in the startup and testing of frac pump units.
·         Maintains a safe, clean, and organized frac pumping units and work area. 
·         Provides technical support to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner; moreover, ensures maximum value for work performed.
·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


·         Knowledge of forklift, scissor lift, and overhead crane operation
·         Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
·         Quality control analysis skills - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
·         Operation and control skills - Controlling operations of equipment or systems 
·         Equipment selection skills - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
·         The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions 
·         Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
·         The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
·         The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
·         The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences


Requirements


Education and Experience:
·         More than 12 years of experience 
·         High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • None
Travel: 
  • No travel is expected for this position
 Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds. 
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. 
  • Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climb up and down ladders. 
  • Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment.
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.  

Work Environment:

  • Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. 
  • Noise level may be loud at times. 
  • Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high speed rotating equipment. 
  • Significant time spent in confined spaces and high places.
