Reports To: Transportation Manager

Normal Work Schedule: The typical working hours are 3:00 pm to 12:00am, with a 60-minute lunch. Flexibility in schedule is required based on operational needs.

Job Summary

The Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse Supervisor oversees all shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe support of production and distribution activities. This role is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating logistics, supervising personnel, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and food safety requirements. The position provides operational leadership to maintain efficient material flow, support production needs, and drive continuous improvement within the department.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications(Required)

A high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics operations is required, along with prior supervisory experience. The candidate must have strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required. Working knowledge of ERP systems such as M3, Infinity, and Insperity is preferred. The candidate must be knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and OSHA regulations, including forklift operation. A valid forklift certification is required.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and able to effectively communicate with employees and management.

Preferred Qualifications

Some college coursework is preferred. Previous experience in inventory control, dry goods management, and procurement processes is highly desirable. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
• Ensure alignment of processes, personnel, and procedures with company goals.
• Maintain a strong focus on employee safety and product safety at all times.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and assign daily work responsibilities.
• Provide leadership, training, and development to team members.
• Promote continuous improvement across all operational areas.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage daily dry goods inventory, transactions, and confirmations.
• Coordinate procurement of plant supplies, operating supplies, packaging, labels, and ingredients.
• Manage weekly operating supply orders and perform freight billing reconciliation as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and warehouse organization.
• Schedule and assign employees, monitor performance, and follow up on work results.
• Support production and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, wrap applicators, and scan guns.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment. The role requires frequent interaction with production, quality, maintenance, and logistics teams. The employee may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment operation areas and must follow all safety and food safety policies.

Physical Demands

The position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The role requires frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and operate equipment. The employee must have adequate vision, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus in a fast-paced environment.
