Job Description:
 

Position Summary, Shipping & Receiving-Support

We're seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional to support campus-wide shipping, receiving, and mail services. In this role, you'll manage incoming shipments?unpacking, inspecting, and routing materials?while resolving discrepancies like damage or shortages. You'll also coordinate returns and defective items with shippers to ensure timely replacements or credits, helping keep operations accurate, compliant, and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support shipments and deliveries for entire campus as required.
  • Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments. Reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper; receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit; maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies as needed.
  • Position may require extensive outside work.
  • Comply with all DOT and IATA regulations. Comply with Department of Homeland Security requirements.
  • Have experience with computer systems to include Microsoft Office products, i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Will be required to learn, understand and perform the duties of the mail center
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor
     

Requirements:
 

Minimum Qualifications, Shipping & Receiving-Support

Minimum three years relevant experience as well as high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to lift up to 50 lb. containers safely and efficiently.
Able to stand for the majority of the shift.
Strong customer service, especially when working on confidential matters.
Requirement to undergo background check.
Familiarity with computer and Microsoft programs.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.
