Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Controller

Our dealership is looking for a detail-driven Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Controller to help manage the flow of parts, gear, and merchandise that keeps riders on the road and our showroom stocked.

What You’ll Do
The Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Controller is responsible for managing the flow, accuracy, and organization of all retail merchandise within the dealership. This role ensures that apparel, riding gear, collectibles, and branded merchandise are properly received, tracked, stocked, and replenished to support both sales performance and an exceptional customer experience.
• Oversee daily inventory management for all general merchandise including apparel, riding gear, accessories, and branded retail items.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming merchandise shipments against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
• Enter and maintain accurate inventory records in the dealership’s inventory management system.
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and damaged merchandise.
• Coordinate with the merchandise and retail team to ensure the sales floor remains fully stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate reorder needs to management to prevent stockouts on high-demand items.
• Organize and maintain backroom storage areas to ensure efficient product flow and easy product retrieval.
• Assist with tagging, labeling, and preparing merchandise for display according to dealership standards.
• Support merchandising resets, seasonal product rollouts, and promotional events.
• Maintain compliance with dealership procedures for inventory control, loss prevention, and product security.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and events teams to ensure merchandise availability for dealership promotions and special events.
• Drive company vehicles as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory and storage environment.
• Assist customers and sales staff with product availability inquiries when needed
What We’re Looking For
• Highschool Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• Forklift certification required
• Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and inventory system experience preferred
• Team player with a strong work ethic
