Shift Hours: 1st Shift 7 AM to 3:30 PM M-F
Summary / General Description:
Preparing parts for shipment, generating packing slips, packing parts, visual inspection and shipping to customers and vendors. Keeping track of stock and inventory to make shipment deadlines.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Read and complete all paperwork and documentation
- Will operate weight scales and count parts accurately
- Notify operations of parts shortages
- Locate, pick and rotate stock according to procedures
- Follow customer packing and shipping requirements and specifications
- Perform final inspection of all parts before shipping, then pack and ship according to requirements
- Notify leader of department when supplies are below adequate level of inventory
- Assist in training other shippers as needed
- Know and use the inventory system to look up information
- Generate packing slips, purchase orders and invoices if needed
- Use of a fork-lift truck
- Maintain departmental housekeeping, safety work standards and accurate inventory levels.
- Perform cycle counting duties
Educational Level:
- High School Diploma / or Equivalent
Previous Experience:
- Prior knowledge of machine work and parts
- Computer skills such as Outlook, Excel, word, ERP systems,
- Maintain positive work relationships with peers and outside vendors
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to be able to be on feet for entire shift.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
