Title:                        Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Location:                Kennesaw, GA, 30144
Duration:                12+ Months [Extension based on job description and business needs]
Working Hours:     4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Schedule:               Monday – Thursday
 
DESCRIPTION:
·         Receives shipment into applicable dock bay, or drop-off location.
·         Duties involve inspection of shipment material (e.g., BOL), validation of quality control seal and cargo, and unloading of shipment material into warehouse, or staging area.
 
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:   
ADDITIONAL SHIPPING AND RECEIVING DUTIES:
  • Support for continuous flow lines.
  • Handles and maintains flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.
  • Supply raw materials and parts Transport finished goods away from the work area.
  • Remove waste.
  • Move Kanban cards.
  • Update status boards.
  • Pack materials to be taken away.
  • Replace tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • physically capable of moving fast.
  • Multi-task / go getter, Attention to detail.
 
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma/GED
 
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
 
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Specific responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment.
  • Ability to work with multiple priorities of the business.
  • Ability to work overtime and beyond 40 hours when needed to support production.
  • Able to understand Fourth Shift and have basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Able to read, write and understand area Work Instructions and QSP’s.
  • Maintain Quality Standards, QSP’s and WI.
  • Operates Forklift, hand-truck, or pallet jack as necessary
  • Maintain necessary records.
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Identify part number and able to put in correct location.
  • Rotating Raw and FG Over Stock.
  • Ability to identify Subs from F-Goods assemblies.
  • Support Excellence, continuous improvement efforts and any changes that will be required.
  • Participation in Yearly Inventory.
  • Follow established company rules and regulations.
  • 6S Daily, looking for safety issues and keeping all work areas clean and organized.
  • Perform other area tasks as needed.
  • Ability to spend the majority of the day standing, reaching, bending, and lifting boxes up to 50 lb in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to generate suggestions for improving work. Receiving.
  • Checks arriving materials to ensure they match purchase orders.
  • Unload Trailers, stage kits & or parts in the appropriate / designated locations.
  • Receiving shipments into Fourth Shift.
  • Identify shortage parts and how to fill the shortage if needed.
  • Understand and process Thru-Hole, SMT, MSD, and ROHS components.
  • Inspect incoming product by PO, Packing slip, part number, and quantity on order.
  • Inspect incoming product for correct address, external and internal damage.
  • Notify purchasing through receiving Issue process of any non-conformance Shipping.
  • Select correct parts from inventory shelves and set the staging area.
  • Package parts in appropriate cartons to ensure safe and undamaged arrival at destination.
  • Prepares necessary shipping documentation.
  • Process shipment according to specific requirements as stated on the Pick Ticket using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager or DHL online website.
  • Lift and stack cartons to the shipping dock for courier pick up.
  • Must adhere to all EH&S regulations and policies as well as attend required training courses related to EH&S and Ethics.
  • Fill out pick up tickets Inventory Control.
  • Works under direct supervision to provide assistance with managing inventory and movement of materials.
  • Process and fulfill inventory requests.
  • Able to correct quantity on hand as needed.
  • Review Scrap for completeness of record and Process Scrap.
  • Use scales, reel counters, label printer and other counting devices.
  • Able to cycle count components and Fg.
  • Provide support for part discrepancy issues.
  • Identify and process Control of shelf life & hazardous materials and where to deliver them.
