The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for processing, tracking, and documenting the inbound and outbound movement of Army equipment and materiel at a contractor-managed turn-in site. This role ensures compliance with U.S. Army supply regulations, Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR), and contract requirements, while supporting accurate property accountability and efficient turn-in operations. The clerk works closely with warehouse, supply, and transportation personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving activities.
Responsibilities:Physical Demands & Working Environment:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching.
Work performed in both warehouse and field environments, indoors and outdoors.
Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand or dust, confined spaces, heights, and inclement weather.
Periodic overtime required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Long, strenuous hours and ability to work under pressure.
Frequent interaction with customers.
Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and adverse weather conditions.
Requires stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
PPE required in designated areas (head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protection).
Must comply with OSHA, EPA, fire regulations, and company safety rules.
