Logistics & Order Management Specialist – Garden City, NYSalary: $60,000 – $80,000 |
Full-Time | Some Saturdays Required
We are seeking a
detail-oriented Logistics & Order Management Specialist with
strong Order Entry and EDI experience to manage daily shipping and office operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a
fast-paced, high-pressure environment and is looking for
growth opportunities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate order entry and process EDI transactions for customers
- Manage office operations including routing, billing, and order management
- Maintain production schedules to meet tight deadlines
- Monitor stalled jobs and take action to move them forward
- Oversee information flow across departments and support the General Manager
- Maintain electronic archives of shipments and resolve customer chargebacks
- Train, manage, and support direct reports
- Take on new responsibilities as the role grows
Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in order entry, EDI, shipping, or office coordination
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel and reporting tools
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Strong management and communication skills
- Knowledge of process improvement, Amazon/E-Commerce, MEGASYS, and Document Management Software a plus
- Flexibility to work some Saturdays
- Motivated to grow and take on increasing responsibility
