Material/Package Handler
Roseville-based warehouse facility is looking for assistance with their distribution needs. Individuals with first shift availability are currently being recruited for this seasonal position. Candidates that work well in a fast-paced environment and adhere to detail are best suited for this opportunity.
Basic description of job may include, but is not limited to:
- To provide movement of packages/goods and/or supply support in a timely, safe and efficient manner through effective scanning and or visual recognition of specific materials and process.
- Ensures the use of safety procedures when handling packages. Load/unload pallets from trucks/containers and company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all cargo is properly and safely prepared to ship
- Locates sorting information on packages visually or with use of scanners. Using specifically directed and verbally communicated instructions to handle and manage packages according to service type and destination, in compliance with established procedures
- Scans packages according to prescribed procedures. Remains current on tracking methods and shipping requirements as needed
- Must be able to communicate and take directions effectively and willingly
- Boxing, wrapping, packaging, palletizing, and labeling orders.
Position may include:- Visually QC of materials for defect prior to being loaded and shipped.
- Manually sorts packages/documents to appropriate slide, line, belt and/or container for final distribution
- Fork Lift and Pallet Jack use
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Ability to comfortably stand and maintain activity for entire length of shift
- Able to maneuver packages of any weight up to 75lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
- Able to successfully complete all basic and recurring procedures without error.
- Ability to stand and work and move comfortably in throughout shift. Must be in good physical condition and have worked in a similar/fast-paced environment recently.
Basic hiring requirements:- Must be over 18 years of age and willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to provide at least 3 positive business references from prior employers, managers or supervisors
- Must have reliable means of transportation

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $19.00 - $21.00P
