Our client is looking for a Shipping Coordinator who will assist them at their location in Gahanna. Our client is total solutions provider to OEMs that offer comprehensive, in-house precision sheet metal fabrication and precision machining capabilities.
The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating daily Shipping activities and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Maintain inventory in Made 2 Manage Software system.
- Assist/Support accurate inventory control (as back up for Shipping lead).
- Pack product to be shipped against order.
- Prepare and stage shipments following pick-list / back order.
- Set up and organize Jobs / Materials in daily operations; inclusive of all resources and products.
- Load/Unload trucks.
- M2M (shippers, inventory, etc.) with direction from lead and as a back up to lead.
- Manage Daily operations with team at a detailed level.
- Maintain Log for ordering/reordering packing materials and coordinate with purchasing.
- Step in for shipping lead as necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
-2-4 years demonstrated previous experience in shipping, logistics or other related field.
- Computer experience (Word/Excel, business software system).
- DOT Certification preferred.
- Previous job shop experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
