Shipping Clerk/Operator gap shift

Job Summary

As a Shipping Clerk/Operator, you will support daily shipping, order processing, and warehouse operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently after training.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, shipping labels, and invoices.
• Safely handle pallet jacks and move materials such as pallets, crates, racks, and boxes.
• Follow established shipping procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and cross-functional teams to support timely shipments.
• Use computers for shipping and inventory tasks, including basic Excel functions.
• Utilize SAP (training provided for candidates willing to learn).
• Prioritize and manage urgent shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly and follow instructions with strong attention to detail.
• Maintain reliable attendance and flexibility for overtime, weekend, or extended shifts when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related field preferred, preferably in manufacturing or electronics environments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret inventory documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Basic math proficiency and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of ESD (electrostatic discharge) safety procedures is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull materials, and stand for extended periods of time.
