Description
The position is in a manufacturing facility that works with metals, plastic materials and packaging materials. Desk work with computer and MRP activity is required.
Position Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the efficient handling of all outgoing products with the appropriate documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Maintaining an inventory and requisitioning needed department supplies in a timely manner.
-Ensure that documentation is completed and is accurate on all shipments according to procedures.
-Efficiently packaging all shipments as directed and copy and distribute shipping documents in a timely manner.
-Making sure that items are packaged properly and ready for shipping, then making sure they are loaded correctly onto the transport vehicle.
Minimum Qualification Required:
Must have completed high school education or GED
Must be able to read and follow instructions in English
1 Year Prior shipping experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility
Have good computer skills and understanding of an MRP system for making pack lists.
The working hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
