Shipping & Receiving Supervisor
A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to lead daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating material flow, supervising team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring on-time shipments while actively working alongside the team.

Responsibilities
- Shipping, Receiving & Logistics
- Oversee daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely movement of materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including carriers, shipping paperwork, and internal communication.
- Manage pick lists, packing lists, shipment documentation, and inventory transactions.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.
Team Leadership & Operations
- Supervise and prioritize daily work assignments for shipping and receiving team members.
- Train, onboard, coach, and develop employees while supporting attendance and performance management.
- Work alongside the team in shipping, receiving, and material handling activities to maintain workflow.
- Partner with production and purchasing teams to align logistics with operational needs.
Inventory & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to support operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping, receiving, and warehouse processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA and company safety standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong ERP experience, including inventory transactions and reporting.
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and material handling.
Preferences
- Prior experience leading shipping and receiving operations in fabrication, industrial, or metal manufacturing.
- Experience improving warehouse or logistics processes.
- Familiarity with KPI tracking such as inventory accuracy and on-time shipments.
