Shipping and Receiving Manager

Harvey Vogel Manufacturing Company is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead our logistics operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone with strong experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and team supervision.  Hours are 1st Shift Monday - Friday and responsible for our Woodbury and Eagan locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation
• Supervise and train warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency
• Coordinate freight logistics, including LTL, FTL, and international shipments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
• Maintain and improve warehouse layout, organization, and cleanliness
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and customer service teams
• Utilize ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus) for tracking and reporting
• Handle returns, damaged goods, and customer shipment issues
• Monitor and manage shipping costs and vendor performance

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse management
• Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory systems, and freight coordination
• Experience with forklift operation and warehouse equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or higher preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement practices
• Knowledge of import/export documentation and compliance
• Forklift certification
