We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and proactive individual to take on the role of Permanent Shipping and Receiving Lead in our fast-paced, high-volume Manufacturing industry. This position plays a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are managed efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach, with a strong focus on maintaining quality and accuracy, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the shipping and receiving department, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
2. Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents, gather and maintain all data and records relative to shipping activities.
3. Identify and rectify any shipping and receiving errors and ensure the accuracy of all inventory.
4. Develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
5. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes.
6. Train, supervise, and evaluate performance of assigned warehouse employees to ensure productivity and efficiency.
7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and storage of goods.
8. Manage relationships with logistics service providers and maintain open lines of communication to ensure smooth operations.
9. Lead and participate in regular inventory audits to prevent discrepancies.
10. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or similar industry.
2. Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
3. Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management software.
4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
10. Physical ability to lift heavy items and remain on your feet for extended periods.
11. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
