About the Job

Shipping and Receiving Clerk - (pipe yard facility)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages the flow of the delivery of materials to customers through the management of "pick tickets" before and after deliveries.
  • Opens and closing out orders in the computer system that have shipped.
  • Assisting customers, clients, vendors and potential customers with inquiries. Including responds to telephone inquiries from customers regarding delivery of shipments
  • Processes UPS, FED EX and other shipments.
  • Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time for each delivery to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Compares/Identify information and counts, weighs, or measures products of incoming and outgoing to ensure Bill of Landing.
  • Confers with sales coordinators to confirm status of scheduled projects.
  • Prepares shipping/receiving documents. Maintains appropriate documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1+ year of related experience (required)
  • Forklift experience (preferred)
  • Computer Knowledge (MS office) (Required)
  • Knowledge of FEDEX, UPS software (preferred)
  • Valid DL or ID
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) (Preferred)
  • Organization Skills (Required)
  • 35 WPM type
  • Inventory (preferred)
