Perform various manual and automated job functions, computer transactions (including picking orders, preparing BOL’s, substitutions in CSI, and all other CSI workflow transactions to support orders being released to production) and clerical duties in the stocking, modification and shipment of company product. Receiving materials and/or finished goods from several sources. Record incoming materials, accurately check and maintain material and/or inventory levels and manage inventory to ensure proper stocking locations. Check shipments against shipping documents and instructions. Locate and transport finished good shipments to proper location for shipping via truck. Prepare and maintain specific shipping, receiving, inventory and stock records for accurate adjustments manually and electronically. Act as an extension of the department supervisor and/or manager to ensure an efficient, accurate and productive flow of job functions, processes, receipts and shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Receive materials (physically and in CSI) from various sources including vendors, production lines, and warehouses.
•Verify counts of incoming materials and inventory against appropriate documents and system information. Document entries on receiving records as required. Forward necessary paperwork to departments or individuals concerned. Prepare summaries of materials received. Maintain various written, computer systems and electronic records pertaining to product and inventory activities. Participate in confirming inventory quantities periodically.
•Move finished products and components to proper stocking locations. Prepare finished goods for shipment to customers or other designated locations. Maintain electronic and manual records of items placed into stock locations. Move finished goods to the shipping area, check count against shipping documents and instructions and load onto trucks.
•Positive and accurate communication of any discrepancies of incoming materials, inventory quantities or shipments to the appropriate personnel and make corrections as required. Answer inquiries regarding receipt of materials, shipments made or pending, and check various details for customers, sales, customer service, material control and management
•Load and unload materials. Move materials to and from work centers, shipping, receiving and storage areas. Use hand and power lift trucks and other material handling devices.
•Use manual and/or automated cutting equipment for sizing required or packaging specifications for meeting customer requirements.
•Ability to lead departmental employees as an extension of the departmental supervisor/manager for departmental organization, inventory accuracy, housekeeping and safety.
•Must be able to interpret drawings, bill of materials, part numbers and part descriptions to aid problem solving and inventory control.
•Must have the ability to certify and safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, picker lift, crane, hoists or any other required material handling equipment.
•Ability to ensure accurate and efficient packaging of various products required to meet customer demands.
•Ability to function in a fast paced and demanding job to support customer requests and timely shipments of required products of various quantities and parts.
•Sense of urgency and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory, stocking levels, job level paperwork (CSI), BOL’s, CSI transaction, production of orders and departmental organization.
•Observes or monitors process and equipment to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards.
•Adheres to and audits 1st and 5th piece quality inspection procedure.
•Ability to multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the shift.
•Perform other related duties as prescribed by supervision.
•Backfills supervisor when supervisor is not present.
•Coaches and trains other employees to perform their tasks in production.
•Helps load Customer Pickups, containers, and unloads tube truck.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school education or GED equivalent required as a minimum for all Hapco positions. The ability to effectively and professionally communicate daily with management, peers, vendors, customers, sales, customer service, purchasing and production control required. Three years of experience as a lead person preferred. Proficient with basic computer skills, e-mail, data entry and inventory control systems and procedures. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The employee in this position must possess the ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or in group situations with customers, suppliers, contractors, executive staff members and co-workers; utilizing methods to include but not limited to verbal/written presentations or conversations plus telephone and email communications.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and perform trigonometric and geometric calculations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding while carrying out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form plus the ability to create and interpret documents correctly. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for the entire shift. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Proper lifting techniques required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving machining equipment, moving mechanical parts, dirt, oil, grease, metal shavings, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. In general, the noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud with exposures ranging from 80db to more than 100db, at certain times.
Specified safety equipment should be always used while operating equipment and, as mandated, while performing tasks.
