Overview Logistec is a leading provider of marine and port terminal services, committed to safety, operational excellence, and developing top talent. We are currently seeking an experienced Ship Crane Operator to support our terminal operations in Gibsonton, FL.
The Ship Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ship to shore cranes to load and unload cargo at the marine terminal. This role requires strong situational awareness, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced port environment.
Responsibilities • Safely operate Ship to Shore Cranes • Safe and knowledgeable operation of equipment • Inspection of equipment for defect or damage before and after operation • Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to safety standards • Discharge Vessels promptly • Attentive to operations and surroundings • Follow scheduling and production goals set by management • Work as a team to meet, achieve, and exceed goals when possible
Qualifications • 6 months minimum experience with Ship Crane Operation or similar • Must possess valid relevant crane training certification if you do not have work experience • This includes Gantry Crane, GL/GLE, or K4 Crane Training • Understanding and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for Crane Operation • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English • Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements) • Valid US drivers license
