Position Summary
The Night Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating production operations during the overnight shift. This role ensures production goals, quality standards, safety expectations, and operational objectives are met while providing leadership, coaching, and support to production employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production associates during the night shift.
- Ensure production schedules, efficiency goals, and customer deadlines are achieved.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and productivity.
- Address attendance, performance, and employee relations issues professionally and consistently.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide clear communication regarding daily goals, safety topics, and production updates.
- Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and employee documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and foster a positive team-oriented culture.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing production schedules and meeting performance goals.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety regulations.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Ability to work a night shift schedule and additional hours as needed.
Payrate:
$25.00/hr
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday
11:30PM – 8AM
