We are looking for a motivated shift leader to oversee daily operations during designated shifts, supervise employees, and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service. The shift leader's responsibilities include creating a shift schedule, dealing with no-shows, delegating tasks, handling cash up, and reporting any issues to the General manager.
To be successful as a shift leader, you should be able to manage a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, a top shift leader should be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

Shift Leader Summary:
Provides oversight to Crew members in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. Coaches, directs, recognizes outstanding behavior, and establishes priorities for Crew members during their shift.
Trains Crewmembers on policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety, security, quality and cleanliness standards
Opening and/or closing the restaurant
Creating and ensuring superior guest experiences
Contributing to the achievement of cost and profit goals, Supervising employees, assigning duties, and creating a shift schedule.

At El Pollo Loco, pronounced “L Po-yo Lo-co” and Spanish for “The Crazy Chicken,” we go to crazy lengths for our signature citrus-marinated, fire-grilled chicken. First, we marinate fresh, whole chickens in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The whole chickens are then fire-grilled, hand-cut, and served with our chicken meals, burritos, salads, soups, tacos and quesadillas. It all began in Guasave, Mexico in 1975. El Pollo Loco was originally a roadside chicken stand. Its signature menu item? “Pollo,” of course: fresh chicken marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices and fruit juices. Needless to say, El Pollo Loco quickly became a local favorite.
