Seeking a full-time Sheet Metal Shop Pre-Apprentice/Laborer to learn and grow in the sheet metal trade.
Ideal candidates should have basic skills, a strong interest in the field, and eagerness to learn from the ground up.
Responsibilities include assisting journeymen with fabrication, assembly, insulation, and installation of sheet metal products, as well as loading trucks and performing general shop work and maintenance.
Work involves using hand tools, machinery (like forklifts), and may require light travel outside the shop.
Work hours are typically Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, ability to pass physical and drug tests, basic computer skills, and math aptitude.
Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and standing.
Starting wages follow union scale, with future benefits available during apprenticeship, including health insurance, pension, and participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Program after six months.
