Long term contract consulting role for a SharePoint Business Analyst
  • Onsite 1 day/month in Saint Paul metro

Seeking an experienced SharePoint Technical Business Analyst with 5+ years of business analysis experience to support enterprise SharePoint Online and content management initiatives. This role will partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, improve information architecture, optimize content management processes, and deliver scalable SharePoint solutions that enhance collaboration and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and content management requirements
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and solution reviews to identify business needs and improvement opportunities
  • Develop business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation
  • Recommend information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and content organization strategies to improve usability and searchability
  • Support SharePoint modernization and content migration initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline business processes
  • Collaborate with Agile teams throughout solution design, development, testing, and implementation
  • Assist with issue analysis, root cause identification, solution validation, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain project documentation, requirements traceability, governance artifacts, and business process documentation
  • Support user adoption through communication, training, and stakeholder engagement activities

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives
  • Experience with SharePoint Online and content/document management solutions
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience working in Agile environments with Product Owners, developers, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and content organization
  • Experience supporting SharePoint migrations or modernization initiatives
  • Knowledge of document management best practices and governance
  • Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT), backlog refinement, and change management
ITR Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including medical, dental, and 401(k) for eligible employees. The W2 pay range for this type of role is approximately $50.00-70.00 per billable hour. This range is an estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. The final rate will be determined by factors such as experience, market trends, and specific job assignments.
