Job Details

We are seeking a thorough and experienced SharePoint Project Consultant to join our team in the Energy industry. This role will be instrumental in driving SharePoint projects, optimizing workflows, improving processes, and ensuring user adoption. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and governance of SharePoint content, site organization, and information architecture. They will also be involved in document control, records management, and content standardization. This role requires a strong understanding of user experience and site usability, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and work collaboratively across multiple functions.

Responsibilities:
Assess and reorganize an existing SharePoint intranet environment to improve functionality, navigation, and overall user experience
Consolidate and standardize content across multiple departmental SharePoint pages
Identify and correct broken links, outdated information, and inconsistent formatting
Partner with internal stakeholders and site owners across various business units to gather, organize, and maintain content
Provide guidance and basic training to departmental site owners to support long-term management of their pages
Ensure consistency and usability across the broader North American intranet structure
Support light administrative and project-related tasks as needed, including document formatting, presentation updates, and internal communications

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SharePoint, Online SharePoint, SharePoint Administration, and SharePoint Management.
  • Proven experience in content cleanup, content governance, site organization, information architecture, knowledge management, document management, content management, content standardization, document control, and records management.
  • Demonstrated skills in workflow optimization, process improvement, user adoption, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder management, end user support, user training, and change management.
  • Strong knowledge of internal communications, navigation optimization, UX, user experience, site usability, and OneDrive.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and work collaboratively across multiple functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • SharePoint certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the Energy industry is preferred.
