Kforce has a client that is seeking a SFCC Technical Lead in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Overview: The SFCC Technical Lead will drive the architecture, development, and delivery of modern digital commerce solutions. This position will lead enterprise-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) initiatives, including headless commerce implementations, platform modernization, API integrations, and engineering best practices. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in SFCC storefront development, PWA Kit, commerce architecture, and enterprise integrations, combined with a strong track record of leading engineering teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and development of Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions utilizing PWA Kit and Managed Runtime
  • Design and implement scalable headless commerce architectures that deliver high-performance customer experiences
  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, performance optimization, security best practices, and scalable design patterns
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, UX, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver digital commerce initiatives
  • Lead integrations across enterprise platforms, third-party applications, APIs, and middleware systems
  • Provide technical leadership for application support, incident management, and release planning
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices across frontend and backend development teams
  • Ensure platform stability, security, maintainability, and operational excellence
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps, modernization strategies, and architectural decision-making

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of software engineering and digital commerce experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) experience
  • Strong experience implementing and supporting SFCC with PWA Kit architecture
  • Experience designing and delivering headless commerce solutions using SCAPI and OCAPI
Advanced knowledge of:
  • React.js
  • Node.js
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • REST APIs
  • Commerce Cloud architecture
Strong understanding of:
  • Checkout and cart functionality
  • Pricing and promotions
  • Customer journeys and digital commerce experiences
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Strong production support and troubleshooting experience in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with microservices and API-first architectures
  • Experience integrating payment gateways and third-party commerce platforms
  • Experience supporting large-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations
  • Knowledge of CDN and edge delivery technologies, including Akamai
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and FullStory
  • Understanding of digital analytics and experimentation tools including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, and Optimizely
  • Experience analyzing customer behavior, digital commerce data, and personalization strategies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
