Set Up Operator: 

We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Set Up Operator to join our client’s growing team in Macedonia, OH. If you enjoy working with machinery, take pride in producing quality parts, and want a stable, full-time opportunity with room to grow, this role is a great fit.

Set Up Operators are responsible for preparing manufacturing equipment for production based on the schedule, completing machine set ups in a timely manner, and operating equipment to produce customer orders within required timeframes. This role involves troubleshooting basic issues, following all safety and quality standards, completing required documentation, and performing 100 percent inspections before and after processing.
 

Shift:
  • Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay:
  • $22.00 per hour, $23.00 per hour once hired in

Key Responsibilities:
  • Locate tooling prior to set up and return tooling to assigned storage locations after production
  • Set up and tear down tooling and fixtures on designated machines as directed
  • Inspect and verify tooling and equipment before set up and after completion of production
  • Create and maintain processing recipes to ensure accurate future start ups
  • Operate forming and CNC trimming machinery to meet daily production goals
  • Load raw materials into machines and submit first piece to Quality Control for approval to start production
  • Perform in process and final inspections including 100 percent inspection of materials before processing and finished goods after production
  • Review and complete required documentation such as work orders, work instructions, and drawings
  • Communicate quality or production issues to leads and supervisors and assist with troubleshooting when needed
  • Support scrap reduction and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Provide break relief for production operators as needed
  • Follow all safety, production, and PPE guidelines and maintain a clean organized work area
  • Follow emergency shutdown procedures and general production protocols
  • Notify department lead upon completion of assignment

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or set up experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and basic drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to follow all safety guidelines
  • Basic math and measurement skills
