Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented ServiceNow QA/Test Engineer to support quality assurance and testing efforts for a large-scale public sector ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for ensuring all platform enhancements, upgrades, and custom applications are thoroughly tested, defect-free, and compliant with government security standards within a FedRAMP-authorized environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with ServiceNow testing, Automated Test Framework (ATF), Agile methodologies, and end-to-end software quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, CSM, and related applications.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Perform manual functional testing and regression testing for platform upgrades, patches, and new feature releases.
  • Validate platform configurations against security controls and data privacy requirements aligned with FedRAMP standards.
  • Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects.
  • Collaborate with Development and Architecture teams to perform root cause analysis.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation and provide testing support to stakeholders.
  • Monitor platform responsiveness and assist with performance and load testing activities.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support SDLC best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform testing experience.
  • Proven experience implementing and managing ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or ServiceNow Agile/Test Management.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Columbus, OH.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing systems within public sector or government environments.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility compliance and security testing standards.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ISTQB Certified Tester
