Position: ServiceNow ITOM AIOps Developer

Location: Chicago, IL/Remote

Job Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $90000 to $110000/Annum

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM AIOps Developer with 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting ServiceNow IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, AIOps, and CMDB, along with hands-on experience integrating monitoring and observability tools such as Elastic and Dynatrace. This role requires a strong technical background in ServiceNow development, cloud technologies, automation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable and reliable IT operations solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Cloud Discovery, and AIOps.
  • Configure and maintain AIOps capabilities, including Event Correlation, Alert Noise Reduction, Anomaly Detection, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Implement, optimize, and maintain the CMDB while ensuring alignment with CSDM standards and best practices.
  • Integrate monitoring and observability tools such as Elastic, Dynatrace, and other enterprise monitoring platforms with ServiceNow Event Management.
  • Develop Event Rules, Alert Aggregation Policies, and Operational Intelligence Dashboards within Service Operations Workspace.
  • Design and implement automated remediation workflows using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Ansible.
  • Develop custom ServiceNow solutions using JavaScript and Glide APIs to extend ITOM and AIOps capabilities.
  • Support Cloud Discovery across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, including modern container platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Perform CMDB Health Assessments, Discovery troubleshooting, and Service Mapping validation activities.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud operations teams to onboard business services into the ServiceNow ITOM platform.
  • Create Technical Design Documents (TDDs), architecture diagrams, implementation guides, and operational runbooks.
  • Lead troubleshooting sessions for Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, CMDB, and AIOps-related issues.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions, technical workshops, solution design discussions, and customer presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, AIOps, and CMDB.
  • Strong experience integrating monitoring tools, particularly Elastic and Dynatrace, with ServiceNow.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
  • Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Ansible for automation.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB architecture and CSDM framework.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow ITOM Implementation Certification.
  • Experience working in enterprise IT operations and cloud environments
