Overview

Seeking a hands-on ServiceNow CMDB / ITOM Architect to lead CMDB design, data modeling, Discovery, Service Mapping, integrations, and data governance initiatives. The role will focus on ensuring CMDB accuracy, CSDM alignment, and automation of infrastructure and software asset data through Lansweeper integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a high-quality ServiceNow CMDB.

• Lead CMDB architecture, data modeling, governance, and data quality initiatives.

• Align CMDB structures and processes with Common Service Data Model (CSDM) standards.

• Implement and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.

• Lead Lansweeper integration to automate population of physical device and software application data into the CMDB.

• Design and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems.

• Ensure CMDB data accuracy, integrity, scalability, and compliance with best practices.

• Support ITSM and ITOM use cases including Incident, Change, Asset, Event, Observability, and Risk Management.

• Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and platform teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

• Provide architectural guidance, technical leadership, and mentorship to team members.

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of ServiceNow CMDB architecture and data modeling experience.

• 5+ years of experience aligning CMDB implementations with CSDM.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.

• Strong ServiceNow ITOM expertise, including CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and related processes.

• Proven experience integrating Lansweeper with ServiceNow (required).

• Experience with REST, SOAP, JDBC, MID Server, Integration Hub, and other integration technologies.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, security, performance optimization, and instance management.

• Experience gathering requirements, leading workshops, and working directly with business stakeholders.

• Client-facing consulting or architect-level experience.

• CIS Discovery and CIS Service Mapping certifications preferred.

• Ability to work on-site in Dallas or Austin (preferred), with Chicago, New York, Portland, or Seattle also considered.
