Service Transaction Specialist

Location: Main Branch

Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:15AM - 5:15PM & Friday, 8:15AM – 6:15PM

Compensation: $18.00/hourly

Join our dynamic Operations Team in Nashville, TN

We are seeking an experienced and member‑oriented Service Transaction Specialist to join our Operations team. As an STS, you will greet members and guide them through video banking technology and resolve inquiries. This high contact role requires exceptional communication and a passion for helping others. You will build relationships by cross-selling products that fit our members' financial needs.

What You'll Do: With a dedication to a member centric approach

  • Welcome members warmly with a smile
  • Demonstrate and assist members with video banking technology
  • Execute deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and loan payments as needed
  • Identify member needs to cross-sell products and services
  • Monitor lobby lines to ensure fast and efficient service
  • Ensure all marketing and promotional materials are maintained and displayed in high-traffic areas
  • Follow all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and training
  • Resolve member complaints or escalate complex issues promptly
  • Assist other credit union departments as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of credit union or financial institution products and services
  • High level of accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual skills a plus)
  • Professional and member‑focused demeanor, both in person and by phone
  • Ability to learn and follow federal regulations and institutional policies
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and office technology
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work in a non‑smoking environment

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in hospitality, retail, financial services
  • Previous experience in a financial institution strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a computer for long periods of time.
