Service Technician (Levels IIV)
Position Overview As a Service Technician (Levels IIV) with a Modigent operating company, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize commercial HVAC systems for buildings, hospitals, schools, industrial facilities, and critical environments. You will deliver high-quality service that ensures reliable system performance, energy efficiency, code compliance, and outstanding customer satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities Duties increase with level, with greater independence, technical complexity, mentoring, and leadership responsibility:
All Levels
Level I (Entry): Focus on preventative maintenance, basic tasks, and learning under direct supervision.
Level II (Mid): Independently handle routine service, maintenance, and basic repairs with growing autonomy.
Level III (Senior/Journeyman): Perform advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, system startups, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
Level IV (Lead/Master): Lead complex service calls, mentor junior technicians, oversee major repairs/overhauls, and provide technical guidance to customers and teams.

Requirements/Qualifications
Experience (progressive):
Level I: 03 years HVAC service or related mechanical experience
Level II: 3+ years commercial HVAC service/repair
Level III: 5+ years progressive commercial HVAC service
Level IV: 710+ years with proven mastery and leadership
Education: High school diploma or GED required; trade school, HVAC apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training preferred.
Certifications: Valid drivers license and clean driving record required. EPA Section 608 certification required (Type II or Universal preferred for commercial work); additional certifications (NATE, manufacturer-specific, OSHA 30) strongly preferred at higher levels.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces or at heights, bend, kneel, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment/Safety: Primarily field-based with exposure to mechanical rooms, rooftops, noise, dust, heights, and weather elements. Must strictly follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE. This is a safety-sensitive position.
