Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, systems, and components, including fuel, brakes, steering, suspension, and transmission systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and system inspections to prevent potential issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about vehicle issues and repair timelines.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and environmental regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in Service Tech for at least 5 years
- Diesel Engine experience preferred with Detroit & Cummins Engine
- Freightliner Experience/Certification plus
- Extensive knowledge of the diagnosing, maintenance and repair of Heavy and light duty Trucks, Diesel Engines, cylinder head, transmission, clutch and related mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic component systems
- Experience using and caring for the tools and equipment
- CDL Plus
EXPERIENCE: - Diesel engine repair: 3 to 5 years (Preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Preferred)
- Heavy duty truck: 2 to 5 years (Preferred)
