Service Technician

The Utility Technician will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various utility systems. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven track record in troubleshooting and problem-solving. This individual must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance repairs on existing traffic systems to ensure their proper functioning and identify any issues or potential hazards.
• Troubleshoot and repair traffic and street light systems
• Conduct regular tests and quality checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor and control utility equipment and systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of system upgrades or improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed.
• Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize workload.
• Respond to emergency situations and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced technicians, as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
• NEC Certification - mandatory.
• IMSA Level II certified preferred.
• Class A license holder, preferred.
• Crane Operator certified, preferred.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Utility Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good oral and written communication abilities
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
