Overview

You will serve as a hands-on SRE within Post Trade Automation Technology, improving the reliability and scalability of our Fixed Income Settlement systems. You will build the engineering solutions that strengthen our cloud footprint, enhance automation, and modernize both Fabric-based and legacy components. You will apply SRE principles to optimize performance, reduce operational friction, and deliver the resilient infrastructure our business depends on. This is a role where your engineering decisions directly shape the stability of critical production platforms.

What Youll Do

  • Develop and implement reliability, availability, and observability improvements across Fixed Income Settlement systems
  • Define and maintain SLOs (Service Level Objectives), SLIs (Service Level Indicators), and use them to guide engineering priorities and service quality
  • Build resilience patterns, such as auto-scaling, circuit breakers, retries, into application and infrastructure code
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes to reduce toil and improve MTTR (Mean Time To Recovery)
  • Design and maintain Corporate Insurance CICD pipelines and automation frameworks supporting Fabric-based and legacy systems
  • Architect and deliver scalable cloud solutions on GCP using Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native practices

Skills Youll Need

  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, or Shell
  • Hands-on experience with GCP and Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code
  • Proficiency with CICD tools, such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, UCD
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, and Helm
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability, and cloud-native engineering

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience with Azure or AWS
  • Background in Fixed Income Securities Settlements or financial systems
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills who collaborates well across engineering and business teams
  • Proactive ownership-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and mentoring

Expectations

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $153,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidates skill set, experience, education, work location, and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
