Job Summary

The Service Project Manager will be responsible for both pre and post-sale functions. This role will assist the sales team in developing a scope of work and estimating the costs associated with a service project over $10,000 or 24 hours. Post sale they will coordinate the planning, installation, replacement and commission of mechanical systems. The responsibilities are to include the technical aspects of project installation in the field. The Service Project Manager oversees the contract budget and is responsible for controlling the budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide presale support to the sales team for estimating cost of projects along with generating a detailed scope of work.• Manage the overall operations of the contract, including: the performance of daily operations, scheduled installations; administration of subcontracts.• Prepare financial forecasts and attend project review service meetings. Ensure that the contract is managed in a manner that meets all contractual requirements and Mesa Energy Systems financial goals.• Evaluate and insure the efficient operation of the project, controlling operational expenses at a minimum level that is consistent with sound maintenance practices and contractual requirements. • Provide administrative and technical direction and supervision to staff in completing work assignments.• Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment and services from appropriate sources• Maintains liaison with architects, engineers and contractors/ subcontractors engaged in plant expansion, renovation, or other major projects. • Maintains sufficient records, files, controls, procedures to insure management and work production.• Maintains a strong safety program• Understand and identify contractual scope of work• Insure proper recordkeeping and documentation of installation by field personnel.• Prepare and provide customers with required closeout documents.

Qualifications

  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all aspects of project activities. • Ability to work with the customer to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues.• Ability to work with management and a variety of skilled/unskilled, professional, administrative, and industry personnel. • Basic knowledge of office administration, project management, reporting, budgeting, budget control, business operations, blueprints, buildings, equipment, housekeeping, construction, purchasing, inventory control, and safety management.• A minimum of four years of relevant experience, with at least two years as an HAVC technician.• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management, is preferred, or equivalent field experience.• Working knowledge of at least one HVAC controls systems • Knowledge of mechanical systems • Ability to interface with customers and contractors at a supervisory and management level.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to organize and lead a group of people• Ability to work independently or as member of a team• Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities• The individual must be able to walk throughout a large facility to include climbing stairs and walking on catwalks• Strong experience with Windows, MS Office and Office 365 Platform • Must possess valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle.
