The Operations Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining efficient operational plans and scheduling that align materials, labor, and capacity to meet repair and service demand. This role ensures seamless coordination between production, purchasing, and planning to achieve on-time delivery, optimize inventory and resource utilization, and maintain operational efficiency.

  • Create, maintain, and communicate daily and weekly operations plans for service and repair activities.
  • Coordinate material availability, labor capacity, and equipment readiness to meet production schedules and customer delivery targets.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure timely procurement and replenishment of parts and materials.
  • Monitor work orders, backlog, and repair priorities; adjust schedules proactively based on changes in demand, supply constraints, or unplanned downtime.
  • Track and report key performance metrics such as schedule adherence, repair turnaround time, and inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, process delays, and bottlenecks to keep operations on track.
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve planning accuracy, capacity utilization, and overall workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP or planning systems to support forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing production flow and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in operations planning, production scheduling, or materials coordination within a manufacturing or service environment
  • Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong data analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a cross-functional mindset.
  • Experience in Medical Device Industry is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in operations planning, production scheduling, or materials coordination within a manufacturing or service environment
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles preferred.
