Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead and support our service operations team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily service activities, driving operational efficiency, supporting customer relationships, managing technicians, and ensuring high-quality execution across inspection, repair, and service work.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with fire protection industry experience who can effectively balance customer service, team development, scheduling, operational performance, and financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage daily service operations within the assigned location.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop technicians and administrative staff.
  • Approve timesheets, PTO requests, and expense reports.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support service demand.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign work to technicians.
  • Coordinate material purchasing and equipment procurement.
  • Audit completed job files to ensure compliance with Eagle Fire policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all inspections, installations, and repairs are properly documented for internal records, customers, and AHJs
  • Serve as the primary contact for customers within the assigned region.
  • Resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure consistent customer satisfaction and positive brand representation.
  • Handle transactions in a manner that strengthens Eagle Fire’s reputation.
  • Honor commitments and ensure all obligations are fulfilled.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the service location.
  • Monitor operational performance and profitability.
  • Support field personnel with cost estimates, proposals, submittals, and drawings.
  • Ensure alignment with financial targets and company standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Technical Requirements

  • Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
  • Strong understanding of inspection, service, and contract work processes.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the fire protection industry.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Minimum NICET Level II certification in applicable discipline required; Level III preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to drive and travel as required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including phone and computer.
