Service Manager

Imperial Conveying Solutions, LLC is currently searching for a full-time Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of the service department while driving service sales and revenue growth. You will lead service personnel, monitor department performance, and serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking service solutions.

With 45 years in the material handling business, Imperial Conveying Solutions provides custom solutions in conveying bulk material through our experience & expertise to the benefit of our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Technical Services, or a related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of service management, service sales, estimating, or related experience
  • Proven experience in customer-facing sales and business development
  • Strong understanding of service operations, labor costing, and estimating practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with service management, estimating, and CRM software
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and customer priorities

                                                                                                           

Responsibilities

Service Operations:

  • Manage and oversee the daily activities of the service department.
  • Schedule and coordinate service work to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely completion of service projects while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and department performance metrics.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage inventory, equipment, and service-related resources.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue service sales opportunities with existing and prospective customers
  • Meet or exceed service revenue and profitability targets
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat business
  • Conduct site visits and customer consultations to assess service needs
  • Promote maintenance agreements, repair services, upgrades, and additional service offerings
  • Collaborate with customers to develop cost-effective service solutions

Estimating & Quoting:

  • Prepare accurate service estimates, proposals, and quotations based on customer requirements
  • Review project specifications, labor requirements, materials, and equipment needs
  • Ensure pricing aligns with company margins and profitability goals
  • Follow up on submitted quotations and negotiate service agreements when appropriate
  • Coordinate with technicians and vendors to develop accurate scopes of work
  • Maintain records of quotes, proposals, and awarded projects

Customer Service:

  • Serve as the primary contact for service customers
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and escalated issues in a professional manner
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the service process
  • Communicate project status, timelines, and expectations clearly to customers

Leadership & Administration:

  • Lead, coach, and develop service technicians and support staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training
  • Prepare reports on service activity, sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for the service department
