ROLE OVERVIEW
The Service Manager will oversee all aspects of the Canton facility — from warehouse organization and inventory to crew scheduling, technician management, and daily operational flow. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a visible presence on the floor, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Canton facility and field dispatch
- Directly manage and lead large crews of HVAC technicians — handling scheduling, performance, accountability, and quality
- Ensure warehouse is organized, stocked, and operating efficiently with proper inventory controls
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technicians — resolving issues, removing obstacles, and maintaining team morale
- Partner with ownership and senior leadership to align operations with company growth goals
- Enforce safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures across the team
- Track team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed
REQUIRED BACKGROUND
- Proven experience managing crews or teams in a trades, warehouse, or field operations environment
- Strong people management skills — able to lead, motivate, and hold accountable a high-volume technician workforce
- Hands-on, visible leadership style with a strong floor presence
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- HVAC industry experience preferred but not required — operations or trades background strongly valued
- Clear, direct communicator who builds trust with both leadership and frontline staff
