Service Manager (BAS Controls) – Waco, TX – $100K–$165K + Bonus – Data Center & Building Automation

About the Opportunity:

A respected Data Center and Building Automation contractor is seeking an experienced Service Manager (BAS Controls) in Waco, TX. This position leads the BAS service team and ensures mission-critical and commercial clients receive responsive, high-quality support. Position Details:

  • Title: Service Manager (BAS Controls)
  • Location: Waco, TX
  • Compensation: $100K–$165K (DOE) + ~20% Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Direct day-to-day operations of the BAS field service department.
  • Work closely with clients and project managers to resolve service issues quickly and effectively.
  • Assign and schedule technicians to optimize productivity and support workload demands.
  • Monitor service calls, maintain dispatch documentation, and oversee reporting accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-priority service concerns.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop BAS field technicians to support department growth.
  • Improve service workflows by implementing and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with BAS startup, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Diagnose issues at the controller, network, and device levels.
  • Update BAS programming and modify wire sheet logic as required.
  • Document commissioning activities and verify correct sequence operation.
  • Provide training to building owners and end users on BAS operation and system best practices.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Background managing BAS or HVAC service operations.
  • Technical expertise in BAS programming, troubleshooting, and integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience guiding and developing field teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive client relationships.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical facilities or data centers is beneficial.
